In the role of protective guard, you work with preventing and handling security risks at protected sites. We offer:

We are looking for someone who is calm, solution-oriented, and has good communication skills. You must be a Swedish citizen and meet the security requirements.

Working hours: Varying times depending on the site, day and night

Location: Linköping

Duration: Full-time (6-month probationary period applies)

Responsibilities: The work involves preventing and handling security risks, controlling access, and ensuring that unauthorized persons do not gain access to protected areas. You are responsible for conducting person and vehicle checks, monitoring facilities, and patrolling to detect and deter threats.

More information will be provided during the interview. This applies to both armed and unarmed positions.

Qualifications: We are looking for you who have personal maturity and feel confident in the role of protective guard. Personal qualities are what determine the best fit. You should possess a high level of security awareness and social competence. We place great emphasis on your ability to work in a team, but we also expect you to independently identify and solve problems. To work at certain sites, a security clearance, enhanced check, and security interview will be conducted.

Requirements for applicants:

In addition to the personal qualities we seek and describe in the various assignments, you must meet basic requirements to qualify for the position:

• be of legal age before starting the assignment
• upper secondary education (high school diploma)
• good command of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Category B driver's license
• civil protective guard training (Alt. military protective guard training, completed from 2016 or later)

Merits include:

• guard training (VU1 + VU2)
• weapon training

We place great emphasis on your personal maturity when assessing suitability for the position.

The position is classified at a security level, which is why a security clearance will be conducted and why Swedish citizenship is a requirement.

Additionally, you must be crime-free, drug-free, have stable finances, and be in good health and physical condition to be employed at Avarn Security. To work as a protective guard, you also need approval from the County Administrative Board (we handle the application).

* To be employed within Avarn Security AB, you must be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company, in accordance with the Security Companies Act (1974:191). The application to the County Administrative Board is handled by Avarn Security. ** If you have completed protective guard training during basic military training, it is also valid for civilian use. The training must have been completed in 2016 or later, and the certificate must not be older than 5 years. If you have protective guard training from the Swedish Armed Forces without basic military training, you need to complete a shortened protective guard training to work as a civilian protective guard.
